Chinese Language Learning

The Chinese course lesson starts with the introduction of tone and Pin Yin. Apparently the speeling tone of one word in Chinese has four tones, which will have different meaning if you spell it wrongly.

Some words which are learnt in the first Chinese course:

--> 你 好 妈 ? Ni hao ma? Apa kabar??
--> 谢 谢.... Xie xie..... terima kasih
--> 老 师....lao shi.....guru
and many more....

Here wil learn how to read consonant and Pin Yin vocal......:

==> Reading consonant "b","p" :

B letter is read p
P letter is read b(ph)

==> Reading consonant "d","t" :
D letter is read t
T letter is read d (th)

There are six in Chinese vocal, "a";"i";"u";"e";"o", with two dots on it (can't be wriiten). The way of reading the first five vocals is as usual...
The odd one is the way of reading u with two dots on it. The key is the mouth forms u while the tongue spells i......

==> Reading "g"; "k"; "h" :
G is read k
K is read kh (not "g" )
H is permanently read h

==> Reading "j"; "q"; "x" :
J is read c
Q is read ch (not "j")
X is read sh

==> Reading consonant "z"; "c"; "s"
S is permanently read s. Remember the position of the tongue is more forward will be used in the next consonant.
Z is read c (not as usual c). Remember the position of the tongue is more forward! The sound of "c" is heard sharper than "ch" as usual....

==> Reading the consonant "zh"; "ch"; "sh"; "r" :
Zh is read c
Ch is permanently read ch
Sh is permanently read sh
R is the same as r in English, not r in Indonesian

Then, "w" and "y" can be read as usual...............

Chinese Language Development (Part 4)

Together with the fast development of Chinese in Indonesia, the Directorate General of Elementary and Advanced Education did a cooperation with The China National for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language through the China Embassy for Indonesia in the scheme of improving the competency of the Chinese teachers in Senior High School.

--> Problems
There are some problems faced i doing construction and development in Chinese education in Indonesia among others are still limited in the quantity and the quality of Chinese teachers/ instructors who has qualification and competency according to the requirement.

Other problems which are quite obvious are the lack of interest in Indonesian people (out of Chinese Community) to join the course or education of Chinese language. This makes only few people outside of ethnic group to take part in National Examination & International Examination for Chinese. The bigger part is Indonesia people from ethnic Chinese group.

Whereas, the effort to spread and widen the access for people to take part in Chinese education will be continued through social activity, promotion, and publication cooperate with Chinese Consorsuim and with the Coordination Organization of Chinese Language through the seminar activity, training, public meeting etc...

The Chinese Character (Part 3)

The Chinese character which has been simplified is developed through one of the three ways such as:

1. By minimizing the line (line in a letter), either with the logical change or with using Kuna form, the variety which is more simple or seldom used. (e.g:葉 be 叶; 萬 be 万 ).

2. Combining some difficult characters into one more simple character(a number word for some kinds of animals) and (various form for the word " only") change into one character which has been existed before. Notice that traditional character only changes the two characters which is seldom used which have few lines.

The Simple Chinese Letter (Part 2)

The simple Chnese letter (simple Chinese; traditional Chinese; Pin YIn, Jian Ti Zi or simple Chinese language,also called Jian Hua Zi) is one of the two set standard letters of written contemporer Chinese. The other set is traditional Han Zi/ traditional Chinese. Traditional Han Zi is Chinese letter which is simplified officially by Chinese government to improve the obility of reading - writing. But in its development of its simplicity caused the confusion with the traditional readers and erased the beauty of the artistic letter.

The Recognition of Chinese Language In Early age

As we know,nowadays Chinese has been noted as the second internasional language after English. That's why Chinese should be taught to children in early age to make children love Chinese. Before understanding further, let's understand first what the true meaning of Chinese.
Chinese (汉语/漢語, 华语/華語, or 中文) is a part of language family of the "Sino",Tibet language. Abput 1/5 of the world population use one of the form of Chinese as a means of communication,so if it's considered as one language. Chinese is a language which is used by the most people in the world. Chinese is an official language in Singapore and one of the six official language in U.N.
A main difference between Chinese concept about language and Western concept is that Chinese people differ the writing and the oral. The difference is widened to the difference in writing word and saying word. There are many kinds of oral Chinese, in which Chinese is the most important and outstanding.
Chinese letters are unchangable letters though the way they are said is different. So eventhough "one" in Chinese is "yi", in Kantonese is "yat" and in Hokkien is "tist/cit", they all come from one word of the same Chinese and they still use one same letter. The complex interaction between the written Chinese and the oral can be described trough Kantonese. Kantonese has a speciality compared with the other traditional languages non Chinese because having standard writing form which is used widely. Besides the language above, there are types of other Chinese that are said as Hakka or khek and Tiochiu language.
